The Cultural and Food Security Specialist implements food access initiatives that honor the traditions, religious dietary guidelines, and community heritage of the diverse populations we serve across Northwest Vermont-including New American, refugee, immigrant, and Indigenous communities. The position addresses language barriers, cultural preferences, and systemic obstacles to improve nutrition and food sovereignty. They ensure vulnerable populations have access to culturally appropriate options while actively breaking down historical and systemic barriers to food access.
