Cyber Platform Engineer / GOVT
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain cybersecurity platforms including Palo Alto Firewalls, Carbon Black EDR, Cloudflare DDoS/WAF, and CyberArk PAM.
- Perform system health checks, patching, firmware upgrades, vulnerability remediation, configuration changes, and troubleshooting.
- Manage firewall policies, routing, NAT, security rules, log reviews, and configuration backups.
- Monitor EDR servers and endpoint sensors, supporting onboarding, troubleshooting, and recovery.
- Administer DDoS/WAF services, SSL certificates, website onboarding/offboarding, and access reviews.
- Manage privileged accounts and access through CyberArk PAM.
- Support cybersecurity incidents, audits, assessments, backup/restoration, and change management activities.
- Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, maintenance reports, asset records, and security trackers.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of relevant cybersecurity / platform operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, NAT, DNS, network segmentation, and firewall troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls or equivalent enterprise firewall platforms.
- Experience with Carbon Black EDR or equivalent endpoint security solutions.
- Experience with Cloudflare DDoS/WAF or equivalent solutions.
- Experience with CyberArk PAM or equivalent privileged access management platforms.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, security hardening, patching, change management, and incident response.
- Exposure to air-gapped/restricted environments, PKI, and TLS/SSL certificate management would be advantageous.
