Cyber Security Analyst

• Location: Canberra (Fulltime onsite)

• Must be an Australian Citizen with minimum of NV1 Clearance

FinXL is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join one of our Federal Government clients in Canberra. In this role, you will play a vital defence line conducting defensive cyber security operations to protect global network infrastructure from malicious actors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to, investigate, and triage Cyber Security alerts across the network.
• Analyse security events and logs to identify patterns of potential anomalous activity and recommend security enhancements
• Actively assist in incident response and remediation functions.
• Assist with proactive threat hunt operations.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence teams to operationalise organisation-specific intel.

Technical Skill & qualification:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Cyber Security Analyst or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience performing incident response activities.
• Active Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance minimum, with the ability and willingness to obtain NV2.
• Well-developed writing skills and experience maintaining technical documentation.
• Ability to work well and share knowledge within a team.
