Role:
You will play a vital role in ensuring departmental systems comply with Australian Government security standards (PSPF, ISM, Essential Eight) while delivering pragmatic advice to senior executives and business stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential cyber risks, impact assessments, treatment plans, and mitigation strategies across the department and its portfolio.
• Establish, refine, and implement robust assurance frameworks and controls aligned with PSPF, ISM, NIST, and regulatory standards.
• Develop, review, and update cybersecurity policies, standards, and SOPs to align with federal governance and assurance mandates.
• Design and conduct security audits; monitor risk remediation by System/Business Owners; develop and maintain documentation for Accreditation and Certification activities.
