One of Australia's high profile Federal Government departments is looking to engage an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to contribute to the implementation and monitoring of cyber security policies, procedures and controls. The successful Cybersecurity Operations Specialist will secure a 9 month contract with the view to be extended for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate!
The successful Cybersecurity Operations Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Monitor and analyse security events, alerts, and logs to detect and respond to potential threats and breaches.
Partake in incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, documentation and recovery, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Provide guidance and support in explaining the implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures to clients.
The successful Cybersecurity Operations Specialist will have experience in the following:
4+ years experience in Security Operations, Incident Response and Threat Hunting.
Deep understanding of ISM, DSFP, PSPF ant their practical implementation/use.
Experience in Windows security concepts – GPO, AD, MFA etc.
