Data Analytics Engineer
This role designs clean, trusted, AI-ready datasets that serve as the company's source of truth. It partners with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Data Science, explores MCP integrations for conversational data access, and ensures new AI capabilities are supported by reliable data infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Build and own canonical data models in Snowflake as Alchemy's company-wide source of truth.
- Structure datasets for vendor AI tools with consistent schemas, rich semantics, and well-indexed access patterns.
- Explore and prototype MCP integrations for conversational internal data querying.
- Eliminate shadow tables and one-off datasets by serving team data needs at the platform level.
- Own the dbt transformation layer with rigorous testing and validation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of data engineering experience with strong SQL and deep Snowflake expertise.
- Experience designing efficient, scalable analytical data models.
- Proficiency with dbt or comparable transformation frameworks.
- Strong data quality instincts and experience building infrastructure that unblocks teams.
- Good judgment, prioritization, scoping, and communication skills.
- Startup experience is a plus.
