Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer
This role operates and maintains data center infrastructure for high availability and stable service. Responsibilities include installing, cabling, commissioning, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, provisioning, testing, incident response, documentation, and shift handovers for AI and HPC clusters.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain data center infrastructure.
- Install, rack, stack, cable, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot AI and HPC cluster infrastructure.
- Monitor servers, GPUs, storage, networking devices, and related infrastructure.
- Replace hardware and perform BIOS, BMC, and firmware upgrades.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, server provisioning, operating system installation, and burn-in testing.
- Troubleshoot server, GPU, storage, network, switch, and cabling faults.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, incident response, escalation, and resolution.
- Prepare shift handover reports and maintain SOPs, operational records, and incident reports.
- Support new deployments and operational improvements with engineering, network, and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of data center infrastructure and server hardware architecture.
- Knowledge of CPU, memory, storage, GPU, BMC/IPMI, and firmware management.
- Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN, LACP, InfiniBand, or RoCE.
- Structured cabling knowledge including DAC, AOC, optical fiber, MPO, and LC connectors.
- Basic Linux administration, system monitoring, service management, log analysis, network troubleshooting, and shell scripting.
- Willingness to work a 24/7 two-shift rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Data center operations, hardware maintenance, AI/HPC infrastructure, GPU cluster, monitoring, or orchestration experience is preferred.
