Role: Data Engineer / Report Developer
Client: Queensland Government Department
Office Location: Brisbane CBD, Queensland
Contract Length: 12 Months with potential of extension
Pay Rate: $931.03 a day inclusive of super ($831.28 a day + super)
Weekly Hours: 38 Hours per week
Requested Tech Stack: SQL Server (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, ETL, Microsoft DevOps.
Key Duties:
Analyse, detail, and document comprehensive reporting and data requirements.
Undertake ETL development and optimize performance across SQL Server and MS Fabric.
Develop CI/CD deployment pipelines utilizing Microsoft DevOps.
Design and implement operational data stores alongside semantic models.
Create and deliver interactive reports utilizing Power BI to meet core business needs.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
High-level expertise in Microsoft data suite (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), MS Fabric, and Power BI.
Demonstrated experience in data warehouse development, ETL workflows, and data mapping.
Solid understanding of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data modeling.
Proven track record of collaborating with business SMEs to refine requirements.
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills paired with strong stakeholder management.
