Data Engineering Director

Lead and mentor Data Engineers while driving Agentic AI adoption, architecting data warehouses and data marts, building ETL pipelines and cloud infrastructure, and delivering scalable data solutions for mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers building resilient batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Champion Agentic AI adoption across data engineering workflows.
• Define best practices, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks for safely deploying AI agents.
• Architect and implement data warehouse and data mart solutions, including data modeling and ETL pipelines.
• Design and maintain analytics-ready data marts using dimensional modeling.
• Define and implement cloud-based data infrastructure.
• Drive technical excellence and delivery for mission-critical projects.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data marts.
• Experience building offline and real-time data warehouses.
• Knowledge of data warehouse modeling theory and model design.
• Understanding of data warehouse systems and real-world business scenarios.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and AutoGen.
• Experience productionizing Agentic AI frameworks in a data context.
• Experience building AI-powered data tools, including natural-language query interfaces, anomaly-remediation agents, and data observability.
• Hands-on experience applying Agentic AI to data engineering, including text-to-SQL, LLM-powered remediation, self-healing pipelines, and metadata and lineage management.
• Familiarity with big-data architectures including Alicloud DataWorks/MaxCompute, AWS Spark, Databricks, and StarRocks/Doris is preferred.
• Experience with real-time big-data systems, data platforms, and team management is preferred.
