Deputy General Counsel

Build the legal scaffolding for high-growth product and commercial initiatives, guide regulatory strategy across securities, derivatives, money transmission, AML, sanctions, and tax issues, handle corporate and commercial matters, and provide practical legal counsel across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Guide regulatory strategy and advise on securities, derivatives, money transmission, AML, sanctions, and tax law.
• Manage corporate governance and board processes.
• Negotiate deals and draft commercial contracts.
• Streamline legal forms and processes to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support product development and launches.
• Provide generalist legal support for ad hoc company initiatives.
• Deliver practical legal counsel to enable operational execution.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant legal experience at a top law firm, government agency, and/or in-house.
• Active and in good standing to practice law in the United States.
• Substantive legal experience with blockchain, crypto, web3, or financial technology preferred.
• Ability to manage projects, prioritize work, and operate autonomously.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate legal guidance clearly.
