Designer
Role Overview
The Designer will own the visual and experiential identity of Audiohook across our website, product, and brand with a special emphasis on website and UX, our two biggest gaps today. You'll close those gaps by elevating how customers find us, evaluate us, and use our platform every day, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Website & Marketing Design
Own the end-to-end design and ongoing evolution of from information architecture to visual design, copy collaboration, and conversion optimization
Design landing pages, sales collateral, social graphics, event materials, and pitch decks
Improve homepage and key landing page conversion by a measurable amount within 6 months of hiring
Product & UX Design
Lead UX design for the Audiohook product, partnering with Product and Engineering to turn complex advertising workflows into clear, intuitive interfaces
Conduct user research, usability testing, and design reviews to ground decisions in real customer behavior
Partner with Engineering to ship pixel-accurate work and continuously raise the quality bar of the live product
Design System & Brand
Build and maintain a design system that scales across web, product, and marketing surfaces
Steward Audiohook's visual identity and evolve it as the brand matures
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Present design work and rationale in product and leadership reviews
Communicate clearly and proactively in a remote-first environment
Qualifications
Required
5+ years of design experience spanning web, product/UX, and brand
Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped website work and product UX, not just concept work
Expert-level fluency in Figma; comfortable with prototyping tools and modern web design patterns
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and how design hands off to engineering
Excellent attention to detail and a high quality bar
Preferred
Experience designing for B2B SaaS or adtech
Ability to ship simple front-end changes directly
Experience building or contributing to a design system from scratch
Experience in a startup or high-growth company
Comfort using AI tools to explore directions, generate assets, and accelerate iteration
