Developer Relations Engineer

Create high-quality integration guides, sample applications, and code snippets while improving the quality, discoverability, and reliability of developer-facing content. Advocate for developers and AI agents, identify friction, drive cross-functional improvements, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and represent the platform at events and online forums.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for developers and AI agents internally.
• Identify developer friction points and drive cross-functional improvements.
• Create technical content, integration guides, sample applications, and code snippets.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve APIs and tools.
• Engage with the developer community at events, conferences, and online forums.
• Champion documentation quality and surface developer friction with actionable evidence.
• Improve the reliability and legibility of developer surfaces for AI agents.

Requirements

• Current experience as a Senior Developer Advocate, Software Engineer, or at a similar level.
• Strong understanding of APIs, developer tools, and modern integration patterns.
• Passion for developer experience and reducing friction for human developers and AI tools.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and accurately.
• Proactive problem-solving and project ownership.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders, Product Managers, and Software Engineers.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, developer relations, or a related technical field.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Based out of the San Francisco office; Adyen is office-first and does not offer remote-only roles.
