As Product Manager - Commercial, you'll initially support the Commercial team, with a particular focus on transport and parking. You'll build a deep understanding of commercial goals, customer needs and operational challenges; identify the problems worth solving; and translate business requirements into clear product outcomes and delivery priorities. Working closely with architects and delivery teams, you'll help shape practical solution options while retaining accountability for the product vision, roadmap and value delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Commercial product strategy and roadmap, initially focused on transport and parking and its connected customer and operational experiences.
- Define product outcomes and priorities across parking booking, payment, access and related customer experiences, working with architects and technical specialists to shape appropriate solution options.
- Lead the product relationship with relevant external digital vendors, working with Digital operations, procurement and technical teams to ensure vendors are meeting agreed levels of service and product outcomes Review service performance and recurring issues against agreed service levels, escalating material risks and supporting timely resolution where customer, commercial or product outcomes are affected.
- Build trusted relationships with Commercial stakeholders, listening closely to their goals, pain points and technical challenges to uncover the underlying problems and opportunities.
- Use customer insight, operational feedback and data to identify opportunities and prioritise investment.
- Translate commercial and customer needs into clear problem statements, product requirements, user stories and measurable outcomes that architects and delivery teams can use to explore and deliver solution.
- Balance customer, commercial, operational and technology needs to deliver the greatest enterprise value.
- Partner with Commercial, Architecture, Digital and delivery teams to take product initiatives from discovery and requirements definition through delivery, adoption and ongoing improvement.
- Monitor product performance and ensure expected benefits and value are realised.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Strong discovery, facilitation and active-listening skills, with the ability to understand stakeholder goals, surface underlying problems and challenge assumptions constructively.
- Strong product management and product ownership experience
- Proven ability to develop product roadmaps and prioritise work based on customer and business value.
- Strong commercial and customer focus, with confidence using data and insights to inform decisions.
- Proven ability to translate business needs and technical challenges into clear product requirements, user stories, priorities and measurable outcomes for architecture and delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust across Commercial, Architecture, Digital and delivery teams.
- A strategic, enterprise mindset with the ability to turn strategy into action.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in business, digital, technology, commerce or a related discipline, equivalent experience.
- Experience in mobility, transport, parking, digital commerce or another customer-facing product environment.
- Proven ability to shape product roadmaps and prioritise initiatives based on customer and commercial value.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with an understanding of digital platforms, customer experience and modern product practices.
- Experience working across business and technology teams, with strong stakeholder influencing skills.
