- Strategic Vision: Play a leading role in defining and developing FIFA’s digital consumer-facing proposition, specifically ensuring products and experiences reflect local fan behaviours and consumption habits, as well as aligning cultural nuances and emerging trends across Brazil and South America.
- Fan Engagement: Support FIFA’s audience growth goals by optimizing acquisition, engagement and retention journeys across owned platforms, as well as contributing to first-party data strategies.
- Value Generation: Partner closely with Commercial and Marketing teams to develop scalable digital activations and integrations that deliver measurable value to fans and partners alike.
- Tournament Planning & Delivery: Become an integral enabler of tournament-time digital operations, delivering high-traffic match moments, live content publishing, rapid issue resolution and cross-functional coordination during competition periods.
- Collaboration: Operate as an integral member of Digital Delivery, working alongside Product Managers located across Europe and acting as the department’s key representative within FIFA27.
- Governance & Communication: Providing clear, consistent updates to senior management and key stakeholders. Participation in cross-functional steering groups to maintain a balance between critical tournament milestones and product scope delivery.
- Drive Innovation: Champion a consumer-first mindset; exploring opportunities for innovation and application of AI-driven solutions to enhance content personalization and discovery, improve operational efficiency and create new fan engagement experiences that resonate with fans globally and locally.
- Data-driven Performance: Establish and track key performance indicators, using a blend of behavioural insights and user research to inform product development priorities, optimise product performance and exceed tournament goals and objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, business management or related discipline
- Relevant product development philosophies, e.g. Agile, are essential
- Relevant project management qualifications, e.g. PRINCE2, highly beneficial
- Product management experience, demonstrating end-to-end experience across the digital product lifecycle; from UX/UI design and roadmap development to rigorous testing and release management.
- Experience working in a direct-to-consumer business, ideally within sports, media or related industries.
- Experience leading complex projects will be highly beneficial, demonstrating aptitude for balancing personal development of others with empowerment to “get the job done”.
- Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal – to succinctly and confidently interact with a wide range of stakeholders up to and including senior FIFA management.
- Demonstrable experience working autonomously and/or with ambiguity; with an ability to adapt swiftly to organisational change or leverage short-term opportunities.
- Confidence leading multiple projects with autonomy, often with colleagues and/or suppliers located in different territories and time zones.
- Passion for developing consumer experiences and thinking big picture; complimented with a demonstrable understanding of digital product development and design principles.
- Data-driven with an aptitude for harnessing data, forming KPIs, and leveraging consumer insights to make informed decisions.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams across FIFA, each with varying degrees of digital maturity and technical understanding.
- Willingness to travel to other FIFA offices and venues, typically in Zurich, as well as relocating to another location for a period of time, e.g. during FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2027.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
- Proficiency in another official FIFA language, such as Spanish, is a benefit.
- Strong knowledge of digital direct-to-consumer ecosystems, including mobile and video.
- Solid understanding and passion for digital innovation, including application of AI
- Experience with industry-standard solutions, e.g. Figma, Asana and Confluence
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
