Direct Support Professional - Rochester, NY

Advocates, Inc. is seeking a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to support a friendly and busy young man with a developmental disability. He is currently looking for someone to assist with working on his goals, both at home and in his community.

Goals

• To be more independent: Increase skills for independent living, along with how to identify and respond to safety issues

• To be more involved in community life: Participate in hobbies, clubs, or classes of interest

Seeking a DSP who is reliable, enthusiastic, creative, and active. Related experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.

Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day’s times, mileage, and service documentation. DSP must have a valid email address.

Days / Hours:

Monday - Thursday: (3pm-7pm)

Pay rate: $25 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per

hour.
