Director of Business Development, Financial Institutions

You build the financial institutions vertical by identifying opportunities, developing partnerships, managing institutional relationships, and creating momentum around blockchain-based financial usage. You own the institutional pipeline, advisor network, positioning, communications cadence, stakeholder updates, sentiment monitoring, and operational follow-through. You also track competitive dynamics, token health, and institutional feedback while developing credible narratives for financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a structured pipeline of target financial institutions.
• Develop relationships with senior decision-makers at major financial institutions.
• Cultivate internal champions within target institutions.
• Develop and execute an advisor and influencer strategy.
• Track institutions evaluating competing chains and infrastructure.
• Develop positioning for institutional use cases.
• Build presence in forums, working groups, and industry bodies.
• Develop and maintain the institutional narrative.
• Draft ecosystem updates and prepare materials for calls and meetings.
• Monitor sentiment across institutional channels.
• Manage the logistics and follow-through of institutional relationships.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in financial institution partnerships, institutional business development, financial services management consulting, or a crypto infrastructure company.
• Direct exposure to how large financial institutions evaluate, procure, and adopt technology infrastructure.
• Existing relationships within financial institutions, consulting firms, or the institutional crypto ecosystem.
• Exceptional written communication.
• Familiarity with token markets and institutional investor behavior.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams with different audiences and timelines.
• Ability to analyze competitive dynamics across chains and synthesize institutional feedback.
