Director of Design Integration
Lead the integration of civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, utility, and network infrastructure across data center projects. Review technical studies, engineering reports, drawings, and consultant recommendations; identify design risks, constructability concerns, and integration issues; coordinate utility and path-to-power planning; collaborate across Development, Construction, Power, and Operations; drive standardization across site deployments; and provide technical recommendations to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead review and coordination of engineering and design deliverables across multiple AI data center projects
- Coordinate civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, utility, and network infrastructure disciplines
- Manage external engineering and design consultants
- Support development and enforcement of Basis of Design standards
- Review technical studies, engineering reports, drawings, and consultant recommendations
- Identify design risks, constructability concerns, and integration issues early in the project lifecycle
- Support utility coordination, path-to-power planning, and site infrastructure readiness
- Partner with Development, Construction, Power, and Operations teams
- Drive consistency and standardization across multiple site deployments
- Provide technical recommendations and updates to project and executive leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of experience supporting data center, mission-critical, industrial, energy, utility, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and design activities
- Strong understanding of site development, utility infrastructure, and integrated facility design
- Experience managing engineering consultants and technical stakeholders
- Ability to review engineering drawings, technical reports, and infrastructure studies
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting AI, hyperscale, HPC, mission-critical, or data center environments preferred
- PE, RA, PMP, or similar professional certification preferred
