The (DMH) Program Manager (Clinical) is a grant funded position.


Position Summary

The DMH Program Manager is part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health (mental health and substance abuse) prevention, treatment and aftercare services for AI/AN youth, adolescents, and adults. The DMH Program Manager is responsible for program compliance for UAII’s contract with LA County Department of Mental Health. The DMH Program Manager also represents the agency at community events, meetings, and during program reviews. The DMH Program Manager assists the Program Director in ensuring the overall effectiveness of the Manager’s respective Program.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the leadership of the DMH program by assisting with staff supervision, development of quality improvement strategies and implementation efforts
  • Provide direct services and carry a caseload
  • Facilitate Clinical Supervision sessions.
  • Manage waitlist.
  • Oversee program compliance.
  • Develop, monitor and evaluate program workflow.
  • Participate in project related activities with outside partner agencies, internal department partners, and stakeholders, working to advance program-specific goals as well as the overall agency interests effectively
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and/or annual program reports, as required.
  • Enter data into grant specific databases, ensuring that entry is accurate and timely.
  • Attend, coordinate and or participate in program meetings, including off-site meetings requiring travel.
  • Regularly communicate with funding entities to ensure adherence to program requirements.
  • Keep Director and stakeholders informed regarding activities, issues and challenges.
  • Assist the Program Director in supervising program staff, including the provision of training and support for therapists, care coordinators, in-home workers, and other staff.
  • Manage audit or technical review preparation and represent the team at the audit or technical review.
  • Assist in budget management under the guidance of the Program Director or Executive Leadership.
  • Attend all staff meetings and departmental and agency events as required by Program Director or Executive Leadership.
  • Adhere to agency policies and procedures and advances the goals of UAII in a manner that embodies the agency’s philosophy.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and personnel information.
  • Available and willing to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work evenings, and/or weekends as needed for Company events.
  • Valid California driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Responsible for maintaining a valid licensure and for ensuring timely completion of appropriate Continuing Education Units for renewal of license
