Drafter (Shop Drawings & Cutting Lists)

About the Role
JC Packer's System Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to join us. This role supports both Singapore and Malaysia fabrication teams by producing accurate shop drawings and cutting lists for manufacturing and assembly. As part of the Design team, you will work closely with project, and factory teams to ensure all drawings and material specifications are precise, practical, and aligned with production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailed technical layouts based on project requirements
• Generate cutting lists for factory teams, ensuring measurements, quantities, and material specifications are accurate
• Interpret design intent, architectural drawings, and technical specifications into production-ready documents
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and factory supervisors to clarify measurements, materials, and fabrication methods
• Update drawings and cutting lists based on revision, site measurements, and technical feedback
• Ensure all drawings comply with internal standards, fabrication capabilities, and safety requirements
• Maintain proper documentation, version control, and drawing records for ongoing and completed projects
• Support continuous improvement by identifying drawing or workflow inconsistencies and proposing refinements

Requirements

• Diploma or Nitec/Higher Nitec in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design or related fields

• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, SketchUp, Pytha, or other drafting software is an advantage
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials and technical measurements
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and technical drawings
• High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation
• Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Able to work independently and manage multiple drawing revisions within tight timelines
• Min 2 years' experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, joinery, or interior fit-out drafting
• Familiarity with cutting list preparation or factory production workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee fabrication challenges from drawings
