We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing advanced electronic control systems including but not limited to, Flight Controls, Air Management Systems and De-Ice products for aerospace applications. In this role, you will tackle complex design challenges, contribute technical expertise across the full product lifecycle, and help shape the future of Collins Aerospace Power & Controls products.
What You Will Do:
As an entry level Electrical Design Engineer 1 at Collins Aerospace, you will…..
- You will support electrical design activities across new product development and sustainment activities.
- You will develop and evaluate design concepts, select components, create schematics, perform analyses, and participate in design reviews.
- You will plan and execute design verification testing, including test procedures, test readiness reviews, lab execution, data analysis, and reporting.
- You will contribute to environmental qualification efforts (e.g., EMI, temperature, altitude, humidity).
- You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve design challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
- You will provide input to program planning activities including schedules and budgets.
What You Will Learn:
- You will learn how to design safe/robust/high performance/high reliability circuitry for aerospace applications.
- You will learn electrical design, development, analysis and test of electrical components and circuits within digital control systems at Collins Aerospace.
- You will learn Collins’ core engineering policies, procedures and standard work.
- You will learn the Digital Controls’ product lines, design architectures and detailed designs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Experience working with electronic control systems (school project or prior internship experience).
- Experience or coursework in designing and verifying electronic circuit cards.
- Analog and Digital circuit analysis experience.
- Test and Lab Instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
