Engineering Manager, Tokenization
Lead a team of engineers building and operating tokenization and real-world-asset infrastructure. The role combines technical planning, product translation, coding, engineering management, recruiting, coaching, and responsibility for production readiness, security, and high throughput in blockchain integrations.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of tokenization products and features
- Partner with product and program managers to plan and execute the tokenization roadmap
- Translate product requirements into technical solutions including smart contract logic and asset lifecycle management
- Collaborate with other engineering managers to drive the technical roadmap
- Support technical excellence in blockchain development and integration
- Manage engineering processes and cross-team interfaces
- Recruit, coach, and develop engineers specializing in smart contracts and distributed ledger technology
- Establish career development plans for engineers in the digital asset space
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives
- Participate in technical, design, and product discussions with cross-functional leaders
- Define the team vision within the tokenization ecosystem
- Oversee project success and measurable results for asset issuance and throughput
- Introduce engineering patterns and practices for RWA systems
- Make regular development contributions to maintain codebase competency
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience focused on robust APIs and SDKs for B2B integration
- 5+ years of engineering management experience, including managing staff and principal-level engineers
- BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Track record managing teams delivering complex production-grade blockchain or financial products
- Golang expertise and idiomatic Go experience
- Familiarity with TypeScript and React
- Expertise in smart contract development using Solidity, Rust, or Go-based chaincode
- Experience with ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, and ERC-1400 token standards
- Knowledge of on-chain transaction flows, minting and burning logic, and oracle integration
- Understanding of RWA lifecycle, custody solutions, multi-signature architectures, and MPC
- Familiarity with KYC/AML requirements and on-chain triggers
- Experience building and managing high-throughput backend ledger or accounting systems
- Experience with distributed systems and Kafka, NATS, or ZeroMQ
- Expertise in highly concurrent, multithreaded, high-throughput code
