Are you passionate about sustainability and interested in developing expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and ESG regulations?

At PwC, you will be part of a dynamic ESG team supporting leading clients across industries in navigating complex regulatory requirements and building robust sustainability strategies.

As an Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping clients translate ESG needs and regulations into practical solutions, with a strong focus on climate-related topics and GHG accounting.

What you will do

  • Support clients in complying with ESG regulatory requirements (e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GHG Protocol)

  • Contribute to the development of GHG inventories (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and carbon accounting methodologies

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of ESG and emissions-related data, identifying trends and improvement opportunities

  • Assist in designing and implementing ESG reporting frameworks, processes, and controls

  • Support clients in decarbonisation strategies and climate transition planning

  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams on ESG engagements

  • Stay up to date with evolving ESG regulations and sustainability standards

What we are looking for

  • University degree (or final-year student) in a relevant field. An engineering degree in environmental science is an advantage, but we will also consider candidates with other relevant types of degrees:

  • Strong interest in ESG, climate change, and GHG accounting

  • Motivation to specialize in carbon accounting and ESG regulatory topics

  • Analytical mindset and ability to work with data

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Fluency in Croatian and English (Croatian is a plus)

Prior experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, or GHG accounting is an advantage, but not required.
