PURPOSE

The Event Security Officer ensures a secure and safe environment for guests and Team Members by coordinating event preparations, managing access, and providing protection in our event space while providing excellent guest service.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Event Preparation and Operations Support: Assist with all event day preparations and operations to ensure smooth execution.
  • Access Control and Verification: Manage access to meeting rooms, backstage, and restricted areas by verifying tickets, credentials, wristbands, or event passes.
  • Executive and VIP Protection: Safeguard executives, dignitaries, VIPs, and performers to ensure their security and well-being.
  • Guest Services and Safety Assurance: Demonstrate excellent guest service skills, collaborate with team members to provide guest information and assistance, offer medical aid, and address safety or security issues that might endanger guests or team members.
  • Incident Response and Reporting: Respond appropriately to incidents and make decisions under stress, focusing on de-escalation. Prepare clear, concise, and complete written reports as required by policy.
  • Asset Protection and Loss Prevention: Exercise care in handling organizational assets to prevent loss or damage. May need to physically intervene to stop a suspect, prevent escape, or safeguard organizational resources.
  • Confidentiality and Legal Compliance: Adhere to confidentiality policies regarding organizational information and provide testimony or statements for judicial and administrative proceedings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
