Finance Manager – Pharmaceutical Supplier / Ecommerce

Job Summary

  • Responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial controls.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, strong cash-flow management, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Support management with financial analysis and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, collections, and supplier payments.
  • Monitor sales, margins, expenses, inventory, and profitability.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs.
  • Control inventory valuation, stock movements, and slow/expired stock.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely tax/VAT compliance and statutory reporting, as applicable.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall financial efficiency.
  • Provide management with financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations.
  • Supervise and develop the finance/accounting team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data in ERP/accounting systems.

Industry-Specific Experience

  • Experience in pharmaceutical distribution, medical supplies, pharmacy, healthcare, or retail is preferred.
  • Good understanding of inventory-heavy businesses, product margins, credit control, supplier management, and working capital.
  • Experience handling high-volume transactions and multiple branches/outlets is an advantage.


Skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably with managerial experience.
  • Experience in pharma, healthcare, distribution, or retail preferred.
  • Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
