Finance Operations Specialist
The Finance Operations Specialist supports day-to-day operations for Coinhako's digital-asset business, including reconciliation, transaction settlement, safeguarding controls, reporting, incident resolution, audits, regulatory reporting, process improvement, automation, analytics, and system testing.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operational activities and ad hoc assignments while following procedures, controls, service-level expectations, and quality standards
- Reconcile company and client digital assets, fiat balances, receivables, payables, and other assets and liabilities across wallets, custodians, exchanges, banks, and internal ledgers
- Investigate reconciliation breaks and balance discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution
- Facilitate accurate settlement of digital-asset and fiat transactions with counterparties
- Monitor deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and trade settlements and escalate delayed, failed, or unusual transactions
- Support the segregation and safeguarding of client assets
- Maintain operational records and supporting documentation for transactions, reconciliations, approvals, and exception handling
- Prepare reports on operational accounts, asset positions, transaction activity, reconciliation exceptions, settlement status, and operational metrics
- Resolve operational issues and incidents with relevant departments
- Escalate material discrepancies, control failures, settlement risks, and operational incidents
- Facilitate communication and information flow between Operations and other departments
- Develop, document, implement, and review operational procedures, controls, checklists, and contingency plans
- Identify operational risks and control gaps and implement process improvements
- Participate in operational risk assessments, audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting
- Contribute to workflow automation, system integration, data analytics, and artificial intelligence projects
- Test, validate, and implement new systems, products, custody arrangements, trading venues, and workflows
- Monitor automated processes and maintain review, approval, exception-management, and human-oversight controls
- Stay informed about digital-asset markets, blockchain transactions, custody practices, settlement infrastructure, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Operations, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Relevant experience in operations, settlements, reconciliation, treasury, custody, brokerage, financial services, fintech, or digital assets
- Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, reconciliations, asset safeguarding, and operational controls
- Familiarity with digital-asset wallets, blockchain transactions, cryptocurrency exchanges, custodians, and fiat payment processes is preferred
- Awareness of the Singapore regulatory environment and MAS requirements is advantageous
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to investigate discrepancies systematically and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with SQL, data-visualisation tools, workflow automation, or AI-enabled tools is advantageous
- High integrity and sound judgment when handling client assets, confidential information, and sensitive transactions
