Fintech Research Analyst
Produce sell-side quality equity research covering companies and tokens at the intersection of crypto and traditional fintech. Initiate coverage on defined names, build financial models, and deliver published research during a focused six-month engagement with potential conversion to full-time employment.
Responsibilities
- Write actionable sell-side research on securities and revenue-generating tokens with thesis points and price targets.
- Build and maintain DCF and comparable-company models with bear, base, and bull scenarios.
- Initiate coverage across crypto equities and revenue-generating tokens in neobanks, payments, lending, trading, and prediction markets.
- Develop and defend investment theses through rigorous fundamental analysis.
- Monitor earnings, filings, and market-moving developments across the coverage set.
- Deliver a portfolio of published research over the six-month engagement.
- Contribute to Artemis's fintech investing platform vision.
Requirements
- Experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including DCFs, comps, and scenario analyses.
- Ability to produce quality work with minimal ramp-up.
- Passion for crypto and fintech with conviction on covered names.
- Clear and persuasive writing skills.
- Self-directed approach and ability to thrive in fast-moving environments.
- Based in the broader New York City area.
- Experience covering fintech, payments, or digital assets is a bonus.
- Published research acted on by institutional investors is a bonus.
