FIU Analyst (US - 12 month FTC)
The FIU Analyst supports MoonPay's Financial Intelligence Unit by conducting transaction monitoring reviews, blockchain investigations, wallet screening, open source research, alert dispositions, and suspicious activity reporting while ensuring AML matters are handled within regulatory requirements and established SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics to identify activity inconsistent with customer profiles
- Review blockchain wallet screenings, KYT alerts, and investigations to determine risk indicators
- Perform open source research on customers, counterparties, and transactional activity
- Analyze transactional data and internal system information to make informed alert dispositions
- Prepare clear alert and case dispositions for Suspicious Matter Report consideration
- Draft Suspicious Matter Reports as required
- Discuss unusual findings with Team Lead or Head of Compliance to determine appropriate action
- Ensure alerts, investigations, and reports are completed within deadlines and SLAs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years working experience in financial crime, compliance analytics, or investigations
- Experience with transaction monitoring and FIU operational processes
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics solutions such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, CipherTrace, or Scorechain
- ACAMS, ACFCS, or ICA accreditation preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle shifting priorities and work independently
- Effective communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Fluent in English
