FIU Analyst

Join MoonPay's Financial Intelligence Unit to safeguard the platform against financial crime and money laundering. The role focuses on transaction monitoring, blockchain analytics, financial crime investigations, alert dispositions, suspicious activity reporting, and collaboration with FIU, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Utilize transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics solutions to analyze activity that does not match a customer's expected behaviour.
• Review blockchain wallet screening and KYT alerts and investigations to identify customer risk indicators.
• Conduct open source searches on customers, counterparties, and transactional activity.
• Analyze transactional activity using internal systems, blockchain screening tools, and open sources to make well-supported alert dispositions.
• Prepare alert and case dispositions for Suspicious Matter Report consideration.
• Draft Suspicious Matter Reports as required.
• Discuss potentially unusual findings with FIU and Compliance leadership.
• Complete transaction monitoring alerts, case investigations, and SMRs within established deadlines and SLAs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Financial Crime or Compliance analytical or investigations roles, preferably in transaction monitoring or FIU.
• ACAMS, ACFCS, or ICA accreditation.
• Experience with blockchain analytics solutions such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, CipherTrace, or Scorechain.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle shifting priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and learn new tools and technology.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Fluent in English.
