Food & Beverage Attendant (Conference & Events)
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Set conference rooms promptly and accurately to the specifications described on the function sheets.
- Handle all conference equipment with care to minimise possible breakages and personal injury.
- Take responsibility for your designated rooms or sections.
- Ensure all Food & Beverage requirements are delivered on time and as specified.
- Provide Food & Beverage service to the required service standards.
- Ensure that the coffee machines on the floor, along with the standard tea/coffee
setup, are always refreshed and ready for service. - Assist with any additional guest requests and requirements (e.g. photocopying,
parking vouchers, delivery of boxes etc). - Ensure that electronic signage displays accurate information.
- Keep the Banquet Operations Manager up to date on all critical issues that may
have arisen on the day. - Carry out all tasks assigned by the Banquet Operations Manager diligently.
- Previous Food & Beverage experience working in a hospitality setting is preferred.
- Qualifications in Food & Beverage Service preferred.
- Holds a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (state relevant).
- Service oriented with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts.
- Multicultural awareness and able to work with people from diverse cultures.
- An ability to understand and navigate customer expectations and requirements.
- Strong focus and passion for hotel operations.
- Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills
- Time management skills with the ability to multitask
