Forward Deployed Engineer

Own customer-facing technical delivery by architecting, developing, deploying, and improving software for AI-agent infrastructure in regulated financial environments.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand objectives, scope requirements, prototype solutions, and build them.
• Design, code, and launch applications, APIs, and SDK features for Catena's core platform.
• Build and configure agent identity and credentialing systems in customer environments.
• Drive deployments end-to-end, including configuration, policy setup, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze customer codebases, identify friction points, and surface product improvement opportunities.
• Champion customer success and incorporate customer feedback into priorities.
• Align product roadmap and strategy with customer needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on professional full-stack development experience with TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.
• Track record of shipping complex production-quality features end-to-end.
• Ability to prototype rapidly while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-context skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-ownership environments.
• Commitment to performant, reliable, and secure systems.
• Fluency with AI development tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
• Nice to have: fintech, payments, blockchain, regulated financial infrastructure, AI-driven solutions, agent skills, React, or open-source contributions.
