Job Summary:**
CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Front End Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and minimizing downtime in our manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of front-end production machinery, including presses, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines.
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with production equipment and implement effective repairs.
* Troubleshoot complex machinery malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent reoccurrence.
* Execute precise adjustments and calibrations to ensure machinery operates according to specifications.
* Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components, including gears, bearings, shafts, and motors.
* Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid in troubleshooting and repair.
* Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with production teams to identify and address potential equipment issues proactively.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably with experience on can-making or similar high-speed production machinery.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with a wide range of industrial equipment.
* Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
* Familiarity with various hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
