Fund Accounting Team Lead

The Fund Accounting Lead is responsible for managing the accounting operations of private equity funds, ensuring the accuracy of fund records, investor allocations, and financial reporting. This role also focuses on improving processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and leading a team to deliver high-quality accounting services while supporting client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fund accounting activities, including NAV oversight, reconciliations, financial reporting, and close processes.
• Review private equity transactions such as capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and carried interest calculations.
• Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing streamlined workflows and automation.
• Ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial reports while maintaining high quality standards and compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, monitor performance, and support onboarding and training initiatives.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to address operational requirements and continuously improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration, preferably supporting private equity or closed-end funds.
• Strong knowledge of NAV, fund reconciliations, capital activity, and financial reporting.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and process improvement skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
