Funds Lawyer

As a Funds Delivery Lawyer – LP Transfers, you will manage end-to-end transfers of limited partner interests across multiple client accounts. You will supervise paralegals, coordinate client and counterparty workflows, manage transfer documentation and post-closing actions, maintain client playbooks, support business development, and partner with technology teams on AI-driven legal tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor paralegals through complex LP transfer processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and counterparties, coordinating KYC/AML, transfer documentation, signing, and post-closing actions.
• Own and evolve client playbooks and negotiation parameters, escalating material issues to the Legal Director.
• Build and deepen trusted client relationships.
• Support business development by contributing to new client pitches.
• Partner with the technology team to improve AI-driven legal delivery tools and workflows.

Requirements

• Strong background in LP transfers, closed-ended funds, or private markets work.
• Ability to independently manage complex transfer processes.
• Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers and paralegals.
• Ability to manage team performance across multiple simultaneous workflows.
• Comfort working with AI-backed legal tools.
• Qualified to practice law in England and Wales or a comparable jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of relevant experience recommended.
