Global Partner Engineering Manager, Payments
Lead the global Payments Partner Engineering team, improve the reliability and performance of payment partner integrations, develop scalable tools and processes, guide architectural recommendations, collaborate across functions, and maintain senior relationships with payment partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach a global team of Payment Partner Engineers
- Define and drive the Payments Partner Engineering vision
- Own integration health across the payment method portfolio
- Drive strategic architectural recommendations
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance, and Reliability teams
- Represent the technical voice of payment partners
- Establish relationships with senior payment partners
- Participate in QBRs, joint business planning, and escalation management
- Secure resources and define team structure
Requirements
- 8+ years of direct line management experience of technical or hybrid technical/operational teams
- Experience hiring, developing, and managing senior individual contributors
- Understanding of payments
- Familiarity with card schemes and payment method integrations
- Understanding of API-based payment flows
- Ability to engage with engineers and technical partners at the API and systems level
- Experience driving operational improvements
- Strong communication and cross-functional influence
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and payment partners
