Global Sourcing Manager (Electronic/Automotive)

Purpose of the Role

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for all types of sourcing that require the skills to identify cost-savings opportunities, create competitive environments, effectively negotiate and make supply agreements to assure continuous availability of all required materials to support company demand. In this role you will have daily contact with internal teams such as operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain. You will also have daily contact with suppliers in Vietnam and China. This role requires someone who is very organized and a self-starter. The ability to negotiate timelines and costing is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with suppliers to identify solutions for increasing end-user value, while decreasing the overall cost
• Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies
• Negotiating programs and supply agreements with key suppliers, including cost and terms of supply, service and quality
• Manage the product development bidding process to assure we are aligned with the best suppliers for timing, quality, and cost
• Management of Supplier relationships by coordinating supplier visits and maintaining open communication about business opportunities
• Travel to supplier locations to evaluate capabilities, assess production readiness, investigate new opportunities, and resolve issues
• Implement the sourcing strategy by following up on new sourcing leads and tracking our global diversification.
• Manage annual vendor cost savings program.
• Forecast and mitigate annual cost increases.
• Track commodity pricing and leverage changes to support cost reductions

Education and Experience

• BS/BA in Materials or Business Administration, or related field.
• 8 - 10 years of Sourcing experience of finished goods in a fast-paced corporate environment including experience with both domestic and international suppliers.
• 1 to 2 years of managerial experience required.
• Experience with a product development timeline.
• A national Vietnamese and bilingual of Chinese (English plus)
