Graduate Equity Analyst (2027 Start)
Join Optiver’s Equity Options Trading team to use fundamental research, current events, scenario analysis, and AI-enabled tools to influence trading decisions and develop research-backed positions.
Responsibilities
- Identify fundamentally driven trading opportunities and work with traders to capture them
- Perform probabilistic scenario analysis for upcoming events and catalysts
- Analyze time-sensitive company headlines and their effects on volatility and stock prices
- Develop research processes and identify market inefficiencies
- Build relevant industry networks
- Use AI-enabled tools to analyze and validate market information and improve research tooling
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM, Finance, Economics, or business-related subject
- Available to start full-time work in August 2027
- Genuine interest in financial markets
- Willingness to learn new techniques and skills and teach others
- Ability to develop fundamental research-driven ideas independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Computer programming experience preferred but not required
