Print Graphic Designer / Production
About the Role
Are you a creative problem-solver who loves seeing your artwork come to life in the physical world? We are seeking an energetic, detail-driven Print Graphic Designer & Production Specialist to join our fast-paced sign and print center on N Tryon Street, just minutes from the UNC Charlotte campus.
In this dual-focus role, you won't just sit behind a screen—you'll bridge digital creativity with hands-on fabrication. You will take concepts from initial proofing to physical production, creating custom signs, vinyl graphics, wide-format banners, and commercial print assets for local businesses. While prior print shop experience is welcomed, we are eager to train motivated entry-level candidates who possess strong basic design skills and a great work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
-
Digital Design: Create vector layouts, modify customer artwork, and prepare print-ready files using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Proofread files for scale, resolution, and color accuracy.
-
Wide-Format Printing: Set up, operate, and maintain wide-format inkjet printers, plotters, and laminators according to material specifications.
-
Hands-On Assembly: Perform physical finishing operations including weeding vinyl, trimming, laminating, and mounting prints onto various substrates (foam board, acrylic, aluminum, corrugated plastic).
-
Quality Assurance: Inspect all finished products for precision and quality before client pickup or installation.
-
Customer Interaction: Assist clients in-person or via phone with project proofs, file uploads, and basic design consultations.
What We Are Looking For
-
Software Knowledge: Proficiency or formal coursework in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop preferred).
-

-
Physical Agility: Comfortable using hand tools (utility knives, squeegees, tape measures), standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 40–50 lbs.
-
Work Ethic: Strong multi-tasking skills, deadline focus, and a positive, team-first attitude.
-
Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; graphic design coursework or degree is a plus. Entry-level candidates welcome!
