Head of Security
Define and drive Morpho's security strategy across corporate IT, cloud and infrastructure, application, supply chain, identity, incident response, threat intelligence, and counterparty security while building and leading the security function.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the security strategy and roadmap across corporate, cloud, infrastructure, application, supply-chain, identity, and operational security.
- Build, lead, hire, and develop the security function.
- Execute hands-on security work including threat modeling, architecture review, control implementation, and incident command.
- Establish a coherent governance framework connecting security tooling and controls.
- Own incident response, including runbooks, incident command, escalation, and market communication.
- Build and run a counterparty security program for curators and partners.
- Lead SOC 2, ISO 27001, and related certification strategy.
- Represent Morpho's security posture to executives, fintechs, financial institutions, and ecosystem partners.
- Partner with Engineering, Protocol, and Integrations to drive security outcomes.
Requirements
- 10+ years in security, including building or leading a security function.
- Strong understanding of crypto and web3 threat models.
- Experience building and growing a security team from a small base.
- Deep hands-on expertise in cloud, infrastructure, CI/CD, supply-chain, identity, and application security.
- End-to-end incident response ownership, including incident command and external communication.
- Experience leading SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent certifications.
- Strong prioritization, influence, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Excellent organized and responsive communication.
- Humble.
- Established security or crypto-security community network and public profile.
- Offensive security depth or experience establishing red/blue capabilities.
- Familiarity with institutional, regulatory, and threat-sharing expectations.
