Summary:

The Health Plan Data Analyst will be a core member of the CCHP Analytics team, responsible for health plan reporting and data analytics. The role will involve creation and support for ongoing and ad hoc reporting and analysis for health plan operations, internal and external audit requests, and key deliverables to support pay for quality programs. This position plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, a highly efficient health plan operations, and requires strong collaboration within the team as well as other teams across the organization.

Additional Information:

The Health Plan Data Analyst will be a core member of the CCHP Analytics team, responsible for health plan reporting and data analytics. The role will involve creation and support for ongoing and ad hoc reporting and analysis for health plan operations, internal and external audit requests, and key deliverables to support pay for quality programs. This position plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, a highly efficient health plan operations, and requires strong collaboration within the team as well as other teams across the organization

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience:

  • Two years of reporting, data analysis and business analysis in health care industry.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel (intermediate) and SharePoint; SQL, and tools such as SSRS, Power BI or Tableau.

  • Experience with Epic system preferred.

  • Experience within managed care/health insurance preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Develop and support reporting for various pay for quality programs such as Alternate Payment Methodology, Performance Improvement Plan.

  • Develop and support ad hoc and ongoing reports to meet the needs of all health plan operational teams, including analysis of data and the outcomes.

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis for requests received from regulatory agencies. (example: HHSC, OIG, OAG, and other state auditors, internal and external audits)

  • Enable self-service and automation of ongoing reports and analytics using dashboards. (Example: Power BI)

  • Ensure a disciplined approach to documentation of existing responsibilities, open to delegated task to cover for team members, quality assurance, enhance technical and operational skills, and share knowledge.

  • Other duties as assigned, including handling administrative or project-based tasks.
