Evening and overnight shifts are available, with a schedule of three days per week and every other weekend, including holidays.
What You'll Do
In this hands-on, rewarding role, you will:
- Support participants in home-based and community settings while promoting KCARC’s mission and values.
- Provide Life Skills instruction designed to maximize independence using least-invasive prompting techniques.
- Ensure participant needs are met in accordance with program guidelines and billable service definitions.
- Assist with implementing individualized training plans, comprehensive assessments, task analyses, community resource assessments, and data collection.
- Administer medications as needed and assist participants with personal hygiene and daily living tasks.
- Strictly follow individualized risk plans, dining plans, wellness plans, and seizure plans as applicable.
- Provide physical assistance as necessary, including lifting, transferring, positioning, and transporting participants.
- Complete required documentation such as behavior tracking, task progress, and sleep tracking.
- Monitor medical needs and provide assistance proactively, including logging required medical routines and medication administration.
- Assist participants with the use and maintenance of adaptive devices and equipment.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude in all work environments.
- Follow all organizational policies and all local, state, and federal regulations, including ISO standards.
- Work mandatory additional hours when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
