House Manager (Part-Time)

Position Summary:
Assists with the management and training of volunteer “Ambassador” staff and provides front-of-house (FOH) support for all events in the Orpheum Theater, Holland Performing Arts Center (HPAC), Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement (TCAE), and other off-site venues as needed.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements house management processes and coordinates FOH staff and volunteers for events at the Orpheum Theater, Holland Performing Arts Center, Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement, and O-pa events at off-site locations as needed.
- Conducts Ambassador briefing before each performance based on FOH form information.
- Conducts regular rounds during all phases of events and performances at each venue.
- Assists in mediating, reporting, and managing patron concerns related to other patrons, Box Office matters, ADA accommodations, O-pa policies, and patron services.
- Provides direct support and communication to/with security and first responders for all emergency situations.
- Communicates across departments regarding patron and production needs during events.
- Identifies and reports FOH issues for resolution, including safety, policy, security, and food and beverage concerns.
- Maintains positive relationships with volunteers, staff, patrons, and artists.
- Maintains an active and flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and holidays as required by event needs.
- Required to work both indoor and outdoor events and performances.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
