HR (Employee Relations, 2 year contract)

2 year Contract, Work Location: East, Budget $5K-$6.5K

Requirements

(1) HR Support & Execution

  • Provide practical, contextual HR coaching to supervisors, aligned with company policies and processes.
  • Partner with EPS as the business-facing liaison to ensure timely and accurate execution of transactional HR activities (e.g. onboarding, offboarding, data changes/accuracy, etc.)
  • Support the rollout and execution of key HR initiatives (e.g. engagement actions, performance cycle, policy changes).
  • Track actions, dependencies, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of key HR metrics and milestones in support of business commitments. Proactively monitor progress, manage stakeholder follow-ups, and escalate risks/delays to ensure accountability and closure.
  • Serve as point of contact for HR reports and contribute HR statistics for inter-department meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the HR function and its processes.

(2) Employee Relations

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees and management to strengthen engagement, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Handle employee and industrial relations matters, including conducting investigations into disciplinary and performance management cases, and proposing recommendations in line with company policies and employment laws.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, government regulations, and laws by staying abreast of legislative changes in employment law to mitigate organizational risk.
  • Leverage insights and best practices to develop and implement proactive employee relations strategies.
  • Champion and reinforce company culture and values.

(3) Data, Insights & Reporting

  • Highlight trends, anomalies, and potential risks for review by the site HR Manager.
  • Support data preparation for leadership discussions, audits, and workforce reviews.
  • Support the rollout of corporate and site-level HR programs (e.g. compensation and benefits policies, succession planning, Workday Learning, talent acquisition, etc.)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes through data-driven insights and feedback loops.

(4) HR Project & Initiative Execution

  • Support HR digitalization efforts, including the migration and maintenance of HR content across sites, to enhance accessibility, consistency of information, and the employee self-service experience.

Requirements

  • Degree in Arts/Business/HR/Management, with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or
  • Extensive knowledge of local labor legislation, with preferably 3 years of relevant experience in employee/industrial relations.
  • Experience within a manufacturing business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tactful and professional in managing employee relations matters.
