HR Manager
Manage the full spectrum of human resources functions for the Japan office, operating autonomously as the primary HR point of contact for employees and management in Japan. Implement HR strategies, ensure local compliance, and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all HR practices comply with Japanese labor laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
- Administer payroll in liaison with external vendors or finance.
- Advise employees and managers on HR policies, Japanese labor law, and conflict resolution.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of HR experience handling the full HR lifecycle independently.
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese labor law, social insurance, and statutory requirements.
- Experience managing employee relations and performance management.
- Professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work proactively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Business fluency in Japanese and English.
- HR experience or familiarity with labor practices in Korea is highly preferred.
