Dubai Heights Academy is a warm and welcoming place to work. Located in the Al Barsha South area of Dubai, this is an exciting opportunity for an outgoing, energetic and proactive Data Manager.

The school opened in 2017. It offers an inclusive, exciting and outstanding education to an international community of students from FS1 to Year 12 (2025-2026) and will grow to Year 13 in the next academic year.

The campus is state-of-the-art with separate buildings for each phase as well as a 380 seat auditorium. There are three temperature controlled swimming pools, fully equipped science and computer labs, specialist rooms for art, DT, Food Technology, music, and drama. There are three libraries, three multipurpose sports halls, a full size football pitch, a variety of outdoor play areas and two spacious canteens. Our sprawling 292,000 sqft campus boasts 3 buildings dedicated for each phase. We opened a new secondary building in August 2025.

Dubai Heights Academy follows the National Curriculum for England as the basis of its curriculum. This has been tailored to comply with local requirements and supplemented with Arabic language, Islamic Studies, Moral Education and Social Studies. In addition, Dubai Heights Academy has partnered with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to develop and deliver a bespoke AI (artificial intelligence) project-based programme for secondary and an early language programme using social robots for Primary, to further enrich our broad and balanced curriculum.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our school community. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with UAE Labour Law, school policies, and safer recruitment requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and safeguarding compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR administration and maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Coordinate the full onboarding and offboarding process for all staff.
  • Support recruitment by advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed in line with the school's Safer Recruitment Policy, including:
    • Verification of identity and right to work.
    • Qualification and professional certification checks.
    • Employment reference checks.
    • Criminal background and police clearance checks.
    • Verification of employment history and any gaps in employment.
  • Maintain the school's Single Central Record (SCR) and ensure all recruitment documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Coordinate visa, Emirates ID, medical insurance, and other employee administration processes.
  • Maintain HR systems and ensure employee data is accurate and compliant with data protection requirements.
  • Monitor staff attendance, leave records, and absences, ensuring accurate HR records.
  • Prepare HR information for payroll and ensure all employee changes are processed within deadlines.
  • Assist with staff queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee benefits.
  • Assist the HR Manager with safeguarding compliance, mandatory training records, and HR audits.
  • Support HR projects, staff wellbeing initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, school policies, KHDA requirements, and safeguarding standards.
  • Assist the HR Manager with day to day administration of the HR department.

School Administration (Secondary Responsibility)

  • Provide front desk and reception support as necessary, acting as a professional first point of contact for the school.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails and general enquiries efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate student data on school MIS systems.
  • Assist with preparation of school communications, letters and documentation.
  • Support coordination of school events, calendars and daily operations.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, including visitor management and sign-in protocols.
  • Provide general administrative support to the school office and leadership team as required.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' HR administration experience, preferably within an international school or education setting.
  • Knowledge of UAE Labour Law and HR best practices.
  • Understanding of safer recruitment principles and safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR information systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Desirable

  • Previous experience maintaining a Single Central Record (SCR).
  • Experience supporting recruitment in an educational environment.
  • Knowledge of KHDA requirements and school compliance processes.
  • Experience using HRIS/HRMS platforms.
