Implementation Engineer (Network)
The Implement Manager/ Engineer, Mobile Access Engineering, reports to the Senior Director, Mobile Access Engineering and plays a key role in delivering mobile network rollout, upgrade and modernisation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven engineering professional to work on impactful network initiatives, collaborate with diverse stakeholders and contribute to the delivery of reliable, high-quality mobile connectivity.
Make an Impact by:
- Lead the implementation of Mobile Access Network projects, including new site rollout, upgrades and modernisation initiatives.
- Plan and manage project schedules, resources and implementation activities to achieve timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Monitor project progress and provide clear updates on milestones, risks, issues and mitigation plans to stakeholders and management.
- Review project scope, technical requirements and implementation plan to ensure smooth and effective execution.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, vendors, contractors, building owners and agencies to resolve delivery dependencies and implementation issues.
- Use project management tools, trackers and governance processes to maintain visibility, control and delivery discipline.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements and workplace safety practices throughout project delivery.
- Lead stakeholder reviews and vendor performance discussions to drive accountability and successful delivery outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement in implementation practices, team collaboration and delivery effectiveness.
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in network implementation or project delivery.
- Good understanding of mobile access network deployment, implementation workflows and site delivery practices.
- Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and project timelines.
- Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and execution skills, with the ability to drive implementation outcomes across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in working with vendors and contractors will be an advantage.
