In-House Legal Counsel
Advise management on legal matters for a fast-growing technology company, including commercial contracts, venture capital transactions, German employment law, contract templates, legal playbooks, and legal risk guidance.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with enterprise customers, resellers, and technology partners.
- Advise on venture capital transactions, including term sheets, financing round documentation, and cap table matters.
- Handle German employment law matters across contracts, policies, terminations, and works council topics.
- Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal processes.
- Advise founders and department leads on legal risks in commercial decisions.
- Translate complex legal questions into clear business guidance.
Requirements
- Professional experience in commercial and corporate law gained in-house or at a law firm.
- Experience with contract negotiation, venture capital, or M&A transactions.
- Experience independently handling German employment law matters.
- Completed First State Examination with strong marks or an equivalent qualification such as an LL.M.
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound legal judgments.
- Experience using AI tools for drafting, reviewing, and legal research.
- Professional proficiency in German and English.
- Valid, unrestricted work permit for the EU.
