Information Communication Technology Manager

Salary: $101,141.70 – $110,569.69 per year

About the role

The ICT Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College's information, communication and technology needs. The role exists to support the College in improving the quality of ICT Services within the College. The ICT Manager is appointed by the Principal, reporting to the Principal and/or Deputy Principal.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct the daily operations of the ICT Department, analysing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and security of all ICT facilities
  • Provide for network management and ensure network operations, including performance monitoring
  • Develop, recommend and document plans, policy, standards, procedures and checklists
  • Strategically plan for, and manage technology assets and control operation budget and expenditures
  • Work in collaboration with College leadership to source, implement and action ICT strategies to enhance and support the creation of the learning environment
  • Provide staff with appropriate ICT support and advice
  • Review and approve all IT systems and software prior to their purchase and implementation
  • Manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems
  • Mentor and train new ICT support staff

About you

  • Experience with DNS/DHCP/Active Directory development and maintenance
  • Experience with management of Windows servers
  • Experience with Linux/Open BSD systems
  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or equivalent study
  • Management of Mikrotik Routers, Fortigate Firewalls, HP Layer 2/3 switches and Fortinet Wireless System
  • Experience in a high-pressure client service environment
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Ability to carry out some out-of-hours work
  • Bachelor degree or higher qualification, or four to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) or equivalent study
  • NT Working with Children Card
  • NT Driver's Licence
  • Commitment to uphold and contribute to the ethos of Catholic schools
  • Understand the employer's requirements and act in accordance with Catholic Education NT and the College's policies, guidelines and procedures
