Internship: Embedded Software (Crypto Libraries) (m/f/d)

Owing to the success of our business, our department is growing and we are looking for a talented student, who would like to gain experience in parallel to their studies. In this exciting role, you will be part of a highly talented team developing secure high performance crypto software for next generation products in different market segments (payment, identification, mobile, IoT, Automotive, …)

Your responsibilities:

• Supporting the Crypto Library development and maintenance

• Embedded software development in C or RUST

• Implementation of cryptographic algorithms

• Maintenance of quality KPIs

Your profile:

• Ongoing studies in mathematics, computer science, electronic/ electrical engineering, information technology or similar

• First experience in embedded software development, using C and assembly is an advantage

• First experience with RUST is an advantage

• A solid understanding of microcontroller architecture

• First experience in implementing crypto algorithms such as DES, AES, RSA, ECC, SHA is appreciated

• You are a team player and you have initiative

• Valid work authorization required

• Availability around 16 hours per week (on average) over 6 months

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.800,- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
