Location: The position is based at our Mississauga location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

In the Operability Group, the analysts will oversee various aspects of engine operability such as starting, acceleration and deceleration (handling), transient simulation, aircraft interfaces, as well as operability specifications for electronic and hydromechanics control systems. Our responsibilities span from pre detail design to field support.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Contribute to the engine / aircraft requirements integration definition regarding operability aspects and to engine sub-system definition like the controls system or the accessories.

  • Establish test procedures to be performed on engine (in the test cell and on the aircraft).

  • Support the testing, review and interpret test data, provide recommendations, approbations or generate the corrective actions if applicable.

  • Analyze the test results and provide recommendations as applicable.

  • Provide technical support to P&WC’s support to operations sector to ensure smooth transition of new products into production as well as support re-sourcing activities of parts impacting engine operability.

  • Provide technical support to P&WC’s aftermarket sector to resolve field issues.

  • Ensure appropriate documentation and traceability of relevant analysis and results.

  • Work with the disciplines to establish appropriate best practices and analysis procedures; actively assists in the continuous improvement of the Operability Group’ methods, tools, and processes.


What do you need to be successful?

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.

  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.

  • Good oral and written communication skills (English essential, French an asset).

  • Proficiency at handling several analytical tasks concurrently and working with quickly evolving requirements and priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate well in teams.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

The salary range for this role is 23.70 to 34.50 CAD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
