IT Assistant Manager (Application Support & Automation)

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day support and operations for business applications, including L2 incident troubleshooting and resolution.
• Coordinate application upgrades, enhancements, testing, releases and user support.
• Work with internal IT teams and vendors to resolve system issues and security findings.
• Manage incidents, problems and changes through ITSM tools and ensure service levels are met.
• Drive automation and self-service initiatives to reduce repetitive support requests.
• Implement and improve AI chatbot / virtual agent solutions for first-level user support.
• Develop and maintain FAQs, troubleshooting guides, SOPs and knowledge base content.
• Identify recurring application issues and introduce automated or permanent solutions.
• Work closely with business users to identify system and support improvements.

Requirements:

• 6–10 years of application support / IT service management experience, including supervisory or team lead exposure.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira or similar platforms.
• Experience with chatbot, virtual agent, AI support or service automation solutions.
• Good experience creating support documentation, knowledge bases, SOPs or runbooks.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Exposure to Power Automate, Python, SQL or other automation/scripting tools is an advantage.
• Good stakeholder and vendor management skills.
